Feature Development

Remembrance is created and written by Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern.

The earliest treatments of the script were supported, in part, by the $25,000 Sun Life Financial Award for Best Canadian Short, which was presented to the filmmakers at the Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival in 2002.

Telefilm Canada provided development funding for the First Draft through the Screenwriter’s Assistance Program.

The Harold Greenberg Fund offered generous development support for both First and Second Draft.

The project was story-edited by John McAndrew, Denis McGrath, Maureen Dorey-Lukie at The Development House, and Bob Swaim at the 2004 Berlinale Script Clinic.

Remembrance won the Telefilm “Pitch This” event at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival. The Remembrance team is now seeking further domestic and international co-production partners.
